Who's organizing pro-war (and what an idiot word that is - 'pro-war.' Yeah, ah'm pro-war. I kinda like all that killin' and burnin' and shootin' - makes me feel like f--kin'!) rallies in America? The Bush-friendly ClearChannel crapradio near-monopoly, apparently. Neat!

There's something happening here. What it is ain't exactly clear, but a good guess is that we're now seeing the next stage in the evolution of a new American oligarchy.

and let's not forget that the majority owner of clear channel is tom hicks, former business partner of GWB during the texas rangers days. oh, and he's the fuckhole who screwed my hometown out of millions of dollars during said partnership. i wouldn't trust that fuck as far as i could toss him. see this link for more info (it's short).

Going to a prowar rally makes about as much sense as vomiting for peace, or blocking people from work and making them hate you even more than they already do, or delaying emergency vehicles, or causing a city to spend 500,000 a day on police overtime when complaining of the cost of the war, or going to a peace rally and being asked to go beyond the 'bush is hitler' rhetoric and give us real opinions on what you wish the government would do and spewing crap on the level of a 4 year old (I'm sure you saw that link). I could go on, but really, it's just too easy.

Not surprising about the pro-war demonstrations, but it is a free country. Well, uhm, at the moment. As for the anti-peace-protest comment earlier, as much as I'm for the anti-war movement, there is an element that's causing more problems then they're worth -- and they include the ones who are getting disruptive and distructive. 100,000 standing silently, holding candles makes a statement. 100 people running to block a free entrance is just kids having fun and using peace as an excuse. However, having said that, I don't know about anyone else but I am getting more than a bit weary of the pro-war folks telling us that anything we're saying against the war is 'rhetoric', 'crap', or equivalent to what a 4 year old would say. Especially since these so-called astute, mature, and wise observations almost always come from an anonymous poster. Stav, don't mind me coming in and dumping in your comments.
