For someone who’s inordinately proud of his ‘random footsore dogsh-t wanderings’ around the planet, I find it a little distressing in light of my advancing years and growing domesticity that of the 25 candidates here (almost 6 million people have voted on the choices, apparently) for the new 7 wonders of the world, I’ve only visited 8 so far:

Well, damn. I’ve been to the GG Bridge and the Empire State Building. And that’s it. I need to travel more. A lot more.
hmmm. that is rather depressing. I think I’ve only been to 2 of them, the statue of liberty and the hagia sophia in istanbul. of course I’ve also been to one of the wonders of the ancient world, so I guess that counts for something. And heck, I didn’t just visit it, I climbed to the top of it.
Well shee-it, wonderchicken, I’ve been to the Opera House, GG Bridge, Empire State Bldg and I’ve seen the Statue of Liberty from Manhattan as the last ferry for the day pulled away from the quay. If it’s any consolation, you are way ahead of me. 🙂
Not a competition, Senn, never that. I’d hate to fail at the one goal I’ve set myself in this life, but it looks a bit like I might….
